Studiospares & West Herts College host 'Back 2 Live' event

Studiospares was pleased to sponsor and support the “Back 2 Live” event at West Herts College, Watford on 20th Oct 2021. The one-day event was designed to offer students the opportunity to get hands-on with live concert products from manufactures including Shure, Allen & Heath, Mackie, HH, Studiomaster and more.

The day also included wired and wireless microphone seminars with Shure, as well as special guest Peter Mills who talked in depth about virtual sound checks. Peter has worked with many artists over the years including David Gilmour and Tina Turner but is mostly known for his work as production manager with Elton John along with his development of the Peex system.

"Studiospares delivered an exceptional trade show"

Steph Carter, Curriculum Developer at West Herts College said "The Back 2 Live event was an overwhelming success. Studiospares delivered an exceptional trade show bringing in a variety of manufacturers and guest speakers to both enlighten and inspire the next generation of audio enthusiasts. Not only are Studiospares an incredible brand to partner with, but they also care about giving back! I can't wait for the next one".

Students also had the opportunity to sign up to Student|Hub, the new educational portal from Studiospares that offers

pro audio resources and discounts for those studying music production and related courses.

"Music production and live concert education is very important"

Studiospares MD Dave West explained “Music production and live concert education is very important, which is in part why we launched Student|Hub. So, we were especially pleased with how students engaged with our partnering manufacturers, asking questions not only about the gear on show, but about techniques and careers within the industry.”

We would like to thank Jack Drury and Simon Pardoe from Shure, Nick Turner and Alex Salzmann from Allen & Heath and Richard Ward from Mackie (Polar Dist) for their support. And a very special thank you to Pete Mills who went way beyond the call of duty with his seminar.
