Built with Zoom’s popular handheld design, the R4 provides musicians and songwriters with a device that allows you to layer music tracks whether you are recording a demo or building a new song, with clip free professional audio quality recording. 

Record. Mix. Bounce. 

The Zoom R4 enables you to record up to four tracks, mix them and bounce them dedicated ‘bounce tracks’, freeing up additional tracks to continue adding layers. Undo your last bounce and mix your tracks further or record new ones. Also 32- Bit recording means you can capture clip free audio without having to set the gain. 

More Inputs and Connectivity 

The Zoom R4 has 2 XLR/TR combo inputs with Zoom’s reliable and proven phantom power preamps.  This gives you the versatility to plug in microphones, instruments, keyboards and more. It also acts as a powerful 32-bit float, 2-in/2-out, USB audio interface which can connect to a computer or a smartphone. What’s more the R4 also includes its own built-in omni microphone, great for acoustic guitars, vocals or grabbing a quick reference recording. 

Effect Your Audio 

The Zoom R4 allows you to add track and input effect to your audio when you record. The track effects include 3-band EQ, pan, echo and reverb to help refine your mix. The input effects applied to input A include amp simulations, delays, distortions and more.  

More Than a Metronome  

The Zoom R4 has a rhythm section preloaded onto it with more than 80 different drum patterns to play along to featuring genres such as rock, hip hop, funk, heavy metal and more, so you will never play out of time. 

Take It Easy 

Any takes that you record are automatically and individually saved, even after they have been bounced. The tracks or other audio files can be loaded into a project on the Zoom R4. Each track has its own dedicated fader and hardware buttons for the most used functions to make it even easier to start recording your music. All this is powered by 4 AA batteries or through the R4’s USB-C port.
