Avantone BV1 Mk II Large Diaphragm Valve Microphone

Building on the success of its world-class predecessor, the Avantone BV-1 MkII tube-driven, large diaphragm condenser microphone will take your recording performance to another level. If you’re an artist or musician looking for a high-value tube condenser microphone, the BV-1 MkII has you covered.

Designed with every single component chosen for its excellent sound quality, it features a custom Cinemag output transformer and handpicked edge-terminated 34mm CK12-style capsule. This results in detailed low-end with a smooth, airy top!

Combining durability and versatility, the BV-1 MkII is the perfect choice for use with percussion, piano, mandolin, brass, wind instruments, and even guitar cabinets. As well as this, it lends itself to a massive sound that can add body and a sense of presence to any vocal performance. Simply put, the BV-1 MkII is ready for almost anything.

Massive Warmth, Superior Vintage Tube Warmth

The development of the BV-1 MkII was a 'spare-no-expense' approach to microphone design. Capacitors have been used from 6 different boutique companies such as Solen, Nichicon, Wima, Elna, Kyocera and Epcos. Avantone worked with these companies to manufacture custom capacitors just for the BV-1 MkII, only the very best would deliver its sonic quality.

The Complete Package

The BV-1 MkII includes a suite of all the accessories you need. The power supply, just like the microphone itself, is a 'spare-no-expense' design. The ultra-high quality 7-pin cable is custom made by Sommer in Germany, this is one of the very best 7-pin cables in existence, using thicker gauge conductors for the valve heater and heater ground that ensures the vacuum tube is always being provided with the best current.

A hard-shell briefcase keeps everything together, even the included wood presentation box that stores the microphone itself. The included shock mount holds the microphone snug, and the included pop filter helps to record in even the toughest environments.
