great mixer. the staff from studiospares where very helpful and very kind. I would recommend this mixer to anyone who is thinking about buying it. The built in effects are very good which work well. The graphic equaliser works well despite it been small. Also the fact that you can ajust the eq with the graphic equaliser. Also the compressor on the four channels. Although the software is not the best it can be very useful. Also the rack mounts that come with the mixer make it a great deal should you want to put it on a rack.

It is an up-dated version of the previous mixer we had in Church. I had to try to get a replacement which was as close as possible to the previous 'model' so that it fitted into the existing console and also so that our training time for users would be minimal! Spot-on!!

For the money you get some great additional features (built in Compressor across four of the channels) 8 band eq is good too

All round good product. A great buy if your starting out building a bedroom studio for the first time!! Easy to use and to understand. On board FX are great if you can't afford hardware to begin with although the dual button can be a bit confusing. At the end of the day you get what you pay for!!!

I like the compressors, useful on harmony vocals, makes them easy to mix, (turn off for expressive songs). Also I put my old Roland work station through 2 of them. I like the feedback sensor, and usb connectivity. For the price, it's perfect for a small duo like us. How durable & reliable it is, only time will tell!

Having used and abused a 1204FX for nearly 5 years it finally gave up on me so I bought this as a replacement. I've only had it a few days but already it has slotted into my set up easily and will more than adequately do the job. Will it be tough enough? Only time will tell, but it looks as if it will. My only doubt is the 'voice cancellation' facility, which I don't need anyway, but this seems to have little effect on anything I've run through so far...perhaps I'm missing something. Otherwise, apart from the less comprehensive FX department, no complaints.

Well desinged mixer that is excelent for live PA and Recording. The USB conectivity is excellent. The supplied manuals lack information and don't explain features in detail so you need to have some experiance of using mixers. The Free software given for recording is bonus but again poorly supported on the manual front. The lack of a spearate Control Room output will limit it's use for Recording and there is no Pre Fader Listening for the Headphones to check inputs for live use. Also the main Oututs are XLR only, So if you use it with equipment with jack inputs you will need to have some extra cables made with Pin 3 and 1 linked.

I set this up as a home studio audio interface. The mixer links well even with Vista!! Good, balanced sound in/out, loads of options. Easy to follow coloured controls. The enclosed Energy XT2.5 software is a pain to install tho- took 4days even with help from other users!! Works well with Cubase and Band-in-a-Box an an interface. Money well spent-much better than the Alessis I had!
