Able to handle even the most demanding filmic challenges, the MKE 600 is a shotgun mic with high directivity, attenuating side and rear noise so you only hear sounds coming from the direction in which the camera is pointing. Its switchable "Low Cut" filter minimises wind noise, while structure-borne noise is very effectively suppressed. The MKE 600 may be either phantom or battery-powered, and battery charge is preserved easily with a battery on/off switch and a "Low Batt." indicator. Rugged all-metal housing and a supplied foam windshield and shockmount add to the MKE 600's array of impressive features which render it ideal for any video-based application.

"The Sennheiser engineers did a great job of designing a balanced mic that will exceed the needs of most in our profession, and I’m sure the name “MKE-600” makes sense to someone. But the fast pace of television production does not allow the time for calling anything by a six-syllable name. Plus, a nickname for a new friend is a term of endearment and acceptance."
Vrworld, May 2013
"Overall, price to performance, the MKE 600 is a good choice for those who need powering options and durability on-the-go, and as a solid entry-level shotgun microphone for sound recordists. "
