The Sennheiser HD600 represents the ultimate in headphone technology. The Neodymium magnet assembly is computer optimised to substantially reduce intermodulation and harmonic distortion. The HD600 is noted for sounding `sweet`. This is attributed to the large diaphragms which allow greater excursions without breaking up into distortion. In consequence they can be run at high SPLs with lower distortion than normal. The overall response is very flat extending from12Hz to 39kHz.(Moles and bats beware!) Their high sensitivity enables them to be run from most 8 Ohms headphone outputs. They can also be connected directly across line outputs and with extreme caution can be run from loudspeaker outputs providing the amplifier`s volume control is kept near minimum. Impedance 300 Ohms . Supplied with plug in OFC copper headphone lead.

    I have used these ever since their introduction & having used everything else there really isn't anything like them. In dynamic headphones professional or audiophile these are the very best...next stop electrostatic cans!

    These headphones have been used by classical recording engineers for years. They demonstrate the most transparent sound I've heard and are my preferred headphones for judging sound quality across the whole frequency range.
