Sommer Elephant 4 x 2.5mm Multicore Speaker Cable (Part number: 490-0051-425)

SOMMER ELEPHANT SPEAKER CABLE 4 x 2.5mm Sommer Elephant cable is used by countless touring bands and permanent installations. It is a combination of so many ideals. It easily interfaces with Neutrik Speakon plugs, includes a large number of thin strands of oxygen-free copper so retaining flexibility without compromising performance. The black jacket is of a rubber-like material which resists tearing, handles well and remains flexible. Overall diameter 9.7mm. Conductors 50 x 0.25mm.

The wires are running hot... and the crowd is cheering when the speaker walls are turned up all the way. Then not only the spirits are heating up, but also the cables. This puts very high demands on the cable which means that the outer jacket of the cable must be as thick as elephant skin. But it should also be flexible, robust, tread-resistant, easy to reel and of course reusable time and again.Compare it with other speaker cables – the ELEPHANT is bound to convince you all out!

  • Loss-free transmission due to the special litz stranding technology
  • Highly flexible and stage-proof, easy to reel
  • Compatible with the common Neutrik Speakon connectors
  • Easy to use due to well-insulated, numbered wires

  • Professional PA systems
  • Surround and woofer systems
  • For permanent installation

Used in my high end hifi system to great effect. Real value low cost speaker cable you really want to try it for such a small outlay you will be very impressed by the results!

Good product, does exactly how you imagine it to. Would have been nice for a bit of colour coding instead of the hard to read numbers.

Sommer cables are always understated and highly competent. This is no exception. My only niggle was stripping the outer jacket. It's very thick and great at resisting cuts and as a result none of my normal strippers would touch it, plus the inner cotton cord is brittle and not quite strong enough to "unzip" the jacket, meaning I had to resort to a Stanley blade. Quite tricky getting through the jacket and not nicking the individual cores' insulation.
