Audio Technology, Sep 2015 "Shure’s budget mics are all chips off the ol’ SM and Beta blocks. But how close to the originals do they come?" http://www.audiotechnology.com.au/wp/index.php/shure-pg-alta-microphones/

I got a chance to do sound for a band that was using this microphone. It worked really well for what the band were trying to do. The only downfall is that the XLR lead is incredibly long. I would suggest grabbing a cable tie and looping some slack so that it doesn't become a trip hazard or get pulled out during a show.
