Studiospares Roadie Kit
As a musician, engineer, roadie or DJ, life on the road can be riddled with many problems, some you didn’t even know existed until you turned up at the gig. For example, not having the correct cables, or realising that you have an intermittent signal due to a faulty cable. Or watching your over-exuberant bass player trip over leads because they weren’t gaffed down.
Here at Studiospares, we understand these frustrations and how important it is to solve any issues promptly so the show can go on. So, we’ve created the Roadie Kit to help you solve those pesky little problems on the road or in the studio.
First, we have a Trojan AL3 Carry Case, a tough flight case solution for everything from tools, leads, test equipment and anything else you need to bring with you. The Trojan AL3’s rugged and robust design will keep everything safe and secure. Its highly durable construction means this case will easily survive any hardships inflicted on it while on the road.
Next, we’ve included the Studiospares Ultimate Cable Tester. An essential tool for anyone in the audio world these days. With this pro cable tester, you’ll have the ability to test all of your instrument, PA and network cables before, during and after your gig.
Another essential item in our Roadie Kit is the Neutrik/Rean Mono Jack Socket Coupler. A quality quarter-inch mono jack socket to quarter-inch jack socket (back to back). The perfect solution should you run into a situation where your cable isn’t long enough. You can quickly use an additional cable and link with the original by using the socket coupler to give you the sufficient length you need for whatever situation you are in.
Next in the Roadie Kit we have 1x 5m XLR Male – XLR Female Lead and 1x 5m Unbalanced / Mono Jack Lead. Solely for the purpose that during any studio or live setting, you can never have too many cables. Having plenty of spares will always serve you well, as it's better to have and not need as oppose to need and not have.
Of course, no self-respecting performer could turn up to the gig without “musicians glue’, commonly known as Gaffer Tape, the universal fix for all problems. Whether you need to neatly and safely secure some XLR cables down by the side of the stage or keep the lead singer quiet while you soundcheck the rest of the band, gaffer tape will always be the go-to solution. Found on the belts of every roadie there’s no reason why you should go without.
