Zoom M4 MicTrak 4-Channel Field & Music Recorder

Perfect Tracks. In One Take.

The M4 MicTrak is the first portable recorder with 32-bit float recording and built-in timecode generator, providing everything filmmakers and musicians need for outstanding audio recording.

Audio without clipping. On set, you can't risk working with audio that is overdriven or too quiet. The M4 records with 32-bit float, which allows you to record audio perfectly in any situation, even without clipping.

Attention... and... Action! Filmmakers can use the two XLR inputs to record dialogue, while you record atmosphere via the X/Y microphones. In post-production, the M4's built-in timecode generator makes it easy to synchronise recordings to a video.

Create Great Sounding Music Videos

Combine the audio recorded with the internal X/Y microphones with two external microphones to give your videos studio-quality sound regardless of the environment.

Wav-Watching. Always keep track of your tracks via the M4's proprietary colour LCD display with real-time waveform display.

Extremely low-hand noise. The goal in designing the M4 was to create the quietest handheld recorder ever. The unique, resiliently suspended X/Y microphones and high-gloss finish minimise hand noise, ensuring clean, clear audio always.

Timecode on board. Serious videographers use timecode to perfectly synchronise audio and video. The M4's built-in timecode generator provides professional accuracy of 0.2 ppm.

Powerful Inputs - The M4 features two XLR/TRS inputs equipped with the same professional, low-noise preamps as the flagship F-Series recorders.

Perfect Outputs - Connect the line output to your camera to record a backup or sync track to your video. Listen to recordings via the built-in headphone output.

Normalisation In One Step - Save time in post-production by automatically raising or lowering the volume of your recordings to the optimum level, even without audio compression, using the built-in NORMALIZE function.

Listening Options - Use the headphone output to listen to your recording or use the built-in speaker for quick reference playback.

Six Seconds for Safety - The PRERECORD function captures and stores audio six seconds at a time before you press the RECORD button - perfect for any surprise recording start.

Record All Day - With 18 hours of battery life, the M4 can record all day if needed.

Rc4 Remote Control - Control your M4 from up to 5 metres away using the Zoom RC4 (sold separately).

32-Bit Float Audio Interface - The M4 can be used as an audio interface with 32-bit float technology and 4 inputs and 2 outputs.
