NAMM 2021 – Black Lion Audio announce debut audio interface

Black Lion Audio made their debut as a modding company that provided users after-market upgrades to their studio equipment, especially audio interfaces and converters like the Digidesign 192 IO. Since these early days Black Lion Audio have since branched out and delved into creating their own products, which include microphone preamps, compressors and even master clocks. Now they take the leap and have now designed and created their first audio interface, the Revolution 2x2.

The Revolution 2x2 is a conventional two-channel interface that is bus-powered by connection via USB-C, featuring two mic/line/instrument preamps, stereo monitor outs and a monitor control section with mono summing and a direct monitor blend knob. But that’s not all, Black Lion reveal there is something rather special, all thanks to some serious over engineering. An example would be all of the Revolution 2x2’s power rails are filtered to prevent noise from the digital circuitry or power supply from entering the audio path, all while being comprised of top branded components.

Users can expect Black Lion Audio’s legacy for master clocks in the Revolution 2x2, as it employs the same minimum-jitter Macro-MMC clocking system as their flagship sync units. If that wasn’t enough each Revolution 2x2 comes with a bundle of software that includes PreSonus Studio One Artist, Brainworx, iZotope and Plugin Alliance.
