NAMM 2021 - Spitfire Audio unveil Contemporary Drama Toolkit

Spitfire Audio has taken to the NAMM 2021 Believe in Music virtual show to announce the release of their instrument library Contemporary Drama Toolkit. Designed in collaboration with composer Samuel Sim who is known for his work on The Halcyon, The Spanish Princess and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance to name a few. Contemporary Drama Toolkit is the perfect tool for high-budget TV scores or bringing a touch of dark ambience to your latest tracks.

Contemporary Drama Toolkit features 72 instantly playable patches and 44 patch combinations. Included are tones from analogue synths such as the Roland Juno 6 and Korg MS20 alongside vocals, guitar leads, electric violins & cellos and more. These sounds have then been processed by a variety of analogue effects, eurorack modules and vintage stompboxes resulting in a collection of beautiful and bold sounds.

With Contemporary Drama Toolkit, Spitfire Audfio has included a mapped keyboard velocity to several parameters across all the sounds included with the idea in mind that composers can forget about the computer and play along to the scene and become immersed in the drama at hand.

Contemporary Drama Toolkit is like all Spitfire’s instruments and is compatible with Native Instruments’ NKS system, meaning you can control it from any NI S-series controller. Contemporary Drama Toolkit is available for purchase now at the introductory price of £129 until the 11th February, where it goes up to £169.
