NAMM 2021 - Moog’s Model 15 synth app is now available on macOS Big Sur

In recent news Moog has just announced its incredible Model 15 modular iOS synth app is taking the leap to macOS Big Sur, making it the company’s first official desktop synth. The synth is free to owners of the iOS version and will work on both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs.

The Model 15 app is based on the monstrous modular synth from the 1970s and is made for ultimate experimentation. This new update allows it to be used in as a standalone or audio unit v3 plug-in within Logic Pro X, Garageband or Mainstage. The new desktop version of the Model 15 is very similar to its iOS counterpart, faithfully and accurately recreating every aspect of the original Model 15 including the legendary Moog 91 series oscillators, 904A low pass filter and the coveted 907 fixed filter bank. Lastly, it can be used in monophonic or four-voice modes depending on your situation and application.

If you are new to the Model 15 there is plenty of help to get you started including an additional 80 patches and seven brand new video tutorials included encouraging your modular exploration.

The Moog Model 15 is now available on Mac and the iOS App Store for £29, to find out more head over to Moogmusic.com
