Boya BY-M2D Dual Lapel Microphone for iPhone
The BOYA BY-M2D is a digital dual-capsule lapel microphone that is ideal for interviews, podcasting, live streaming, and any situation that requires two speakers. Designed with two omnidirectional capsules, it captures two clear sounds and delivers both audios to your recording devices, no matter if you’re indoors or on location.
The microphone connects easily to iOS devices such as iPhone, iPad and iPod using the included Apple MFi-certified Lightning connector. The BY-M2D is compatible with iOS 8.0 or later.
Digital Dual Lavalier Microphones for iOS Devices
This Boya microphone features an omnidirectional directional characteristic. This means that a voice is recorded around the microphone. The signal-to-noise ratio of 76dB ensures that little noise is recorded. BY-M2D provides a signal conversion at up to 24-bit/48 kHz resolution with a frequency response of 50 Hz to 20 kHz to meet your needs.
In addition, you can use the included foam windshields, so unwanted sounds such as wind are not recorded. The length of the cable (microphone to TRS) is 6 meters so that you can also record from a greater distance from your device.
The 3.5mm TRS to Lightning adapter cable allows you to connect the microphone to the Lightning port on your iOS device. This adapter makes the BY-M2D multi-purpose because it allows you to connect other microphones and accessories with TRS output to your iOS device (for example the BY-RX8 and BY-MM1).
Connect Directly to your Devices
The power is automatically supplied when you connect the microphone to an iOS device. This means that you don't need any batteries. You can take it all with you safely and easily in the included leatherette storage pouch.
You can use the dual microphone with all apps that normally use the internal microphone of your iPhone or iPad. Think of the standard camera app or Dictaphone app. To use the BY-M2D, place the windscreen on the microphones and attach it to your clothing using the clips. Then attach the lavalier microphone to the Lightning adapter. Finally, plug the adapter into your iOS device and start the desired app to capture your recording.
