The Alesis RA150 Studio Power Amp 75 Watts RMS per channel at 4 Ohm.

The Alesis RA150 Reference Amplifier, designed for studio use, the RA 150 amp incorporates advanced convection cooling for heat dissipation. The result is long, stable operation unaffected by heat-related complications, without the added distraction and annoyance of fan cooling. This is now the power amplifier for my home studio (PC running Cubase into Mackie 16-into-2 mixer, driving Tannoy PBM 6.5s). Good informative user manual. Very easy to install. Immediately impressed me with its clear sound and very low noise floor. The construction is very solid. Very pleased with the amp - I wish I'd replaced my old Hi-Fi amp with this years ago!

This is the main monitoring amplifier in my demo studio and, for a supposed lightweight, relatively low powered amplifier, the sound is almost perfect. I say almost because, after a number of years in and out of studios, my hearing is not perfect. I've tried a Samson, a Yamaha and an old purpose built pair of monoblocks and none come close to this for Clarity. I can switch it betwen my nearfield monitors or my big studio bins and it handles both perfectly. It's weighty but hangs by its ears in my rack, doesn't overheat, clip or distort and the mixes I get are really crisp and clear. An all round, excellent power amplifier that I highly recommend
