Good basic mixer for home studio or presentations. I tend to record mics direct and mix on the computer, so this is used primarily for keyboard mixing and monitoring. Does that well. I did try the mic preamps and they're not bad, but I prefer my Focusrites. The effects sound OK, but have very limited control - I doubt I'll bother to use them. It sounds at least as good as the unreliable Mackie I was previously using.

A Great little mixer that I will use for producing internet radio shows - just given it a thorough test and it ticks most of my boxes (I would have preferred PFL instead of Solo though) Setting up the Mix-Minus for a phone connection was a doddle :-) 8/10

Needed a small all-in-one desk for simple events with plenty of line inputs - does the job well. Solidly built. Remarkable range of features (compressors, FX and USB i/o) but one can't expect great quality at this price. Limitations: Operation of inbuilt compressors is unclear, reverb and effects are useful but nothing special. USB i/o sounds good, but USB playback routing is odd - goes straight to main fader without any other volume control. Also, not sure why they put a sub-group on an 8 channel mixer? In summary: For small live events it's convenient, compact, quick to set up and very good value. But no substitute for more expensive desks with outboard.
