SHURE SM58S SWITCHED VOCALIST MIC Easily the world`s most popular and most copied stage mic. The SM58 is guaranteed to enhance any artist`s performance through the punchy and dynamic sound. This model is the most `road proven` mic ever. The capsule is elastically suspended to minimise shock and handling noise. The pick up pattern is cardioid which helps reduce unwanted feedback enabling the performer to increase the level of the PA. The frequency response is tailored to the vocal spectrum with a range 50Hz to 15kHz. The Wire Mesh pop shield minimises breath and popping noises and can be removed for cleaning or replacement. With on/off switch. Spare protective grilles are Code 404-741. The SM58 comes with a mic holder with 5/8" thread. Optional STA4 thread adaptor for 3/8" stands is COde 401-100.

Industry standard mic with a proven track record, so no need to say more about performance. Appears to have a redesigned switch which although easier to use, feels a bit flimsy compared with the robust body. Time alone will tell ... No idea why the grille of an SM58 dents more easily than most other mics, so I've bought a spare just in case.

Performed out in front of band in marquee. No feedback, professionals commented on clarity of sound.
