Matched Pair RODE NT1As` The design brief when developing the NT1 was to produce a microphone with the same sonic clarity as the NT2. Rode have accomplished this task with very little compromise; the same open warm sound produced by the NT2 is present with the NT1. An internal shock mount assembly holds the transducer which features a large 1` gold sputtered Milar diaphragm as used in the more expensive NT2. Two layers of high grade stainless steel have been used in the Head. The first is a strong open weave and the second is a fine weave providing excellent Pop screening without compromising acoustic transparency. Transformerless FET circuitry generates very low self-noise, whilst the body of the microphone is precision machined and finished in a durable satin nickel coating.

Matched Pair has been acoustically matched for equal sensitivity from each mic. Includes Rode Matched Pair Certificate of Testing.

SOS May 2004 "The NT1A may have an entry-level price, but it's performance is anything but entry level. It has a great sound, it is extremely quiet and it comes with a good shockmount." http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/may04/articles/rodent.htm
