No fiddly screws, great solder buckets on pins. As good as any connector at any price

Must have soldered thousands of these Precision male and female xlrs by now, but interestingly the durability of the boot appears to becoming an issue. The most frequent failures are the rubber strain relief coming out of the screwed boot, or the narrow end of the strain relief splitting. Those failures are fairly rare however, particularly if some care is taken in use. Have also noticed that the accuracy or tightness of the thread on the screwed boot is not as tight in recent months. The boot can begin to unscrew with vibration (although none have screwed themselves off). Give me a bit more confidence in the construction please by making the threads feel like they mated with a little less apparent free play. I have also noticed that in recent years in manufacture the orientation of the pins in the male has become somewhat haphazard. It's only a small point, but when you are doing dozens in a day on a jig it's good if the solder pot in all the Pin 2s (for example) is facing the same way. However, for the value, I'll still be buying these in large quantities.

Reasonable budget alternative to true Neutrik connector. Similar construction so easy to assemble. Only criticism would be the plastic cord grip insert doesn't locate well with the groove inside the plug body leaving it able to rotate when tightened. Means you have to be careful not to twist the cable. At a fraction of true Neutrik price worth considering if on a tight budget.
