Trojan SPS06 Power Sequencer
The Studiospares SPS06 Power Sequencer provides an insurance against catastrophic failure when interconnected electronic items are turned on together. During power up circuits are unstable and initiate power. Excessive inrush currents are curtailed. The SPS06 turns up to six items of equipment on in three second intervals such that no two items are powering up together. It also powers down in reverse sequence. This allows each connected item to settle before the next item is turned on.
The system is managed by an SCM system, (Single Chip Micyoco control). Two integral pull out LED front panel lights illuminate the front panel and equipment mounted below. The mains voltage is displayed which can be a useful alert for engineers if the voltage begins to fall through loading considerations. The rear panel houses 6x 13A UK sockets. The maximum load on any one socket is 13 amps. A bypass switch disables the sequencing program. No 13A plug is fitted. The substantial mains lead has crimps with eyes for wiring into industrial connectors or with the crimps cut off, a standard 13 amp plug.
