I've used hundreds of Neutrik connectors over the years. This balanced jack plug is a little bit fiddly to solder so you need to carefully prepare your cable first. But what you get is rock solid Neutrik build quality and reliability.

the way these are set up is terrible. the shield needs to be heated considerably for the solder to attach and this means that plastic components can sometimes melt. The ring and tip connectors are placed too close and it makes connecting the wire far more tricky than it ought to be and due to the proximity of plastic components it is far too easy to melt them and due to how close the ring and tip are and due to them being placed one above the other it means that it is easy to have wires cross connect or solder to drip down and connect both parts. just really bad design and I am not happy with the product at all. I really rate neutrik XLR and the jacks but they way the connectors are set up inside is a joke. what idiot designed these?
