Neumann microphones have long been the natural choice of large studios and broadcast facilities. The only reason their products are excluded from smaller studios is on account of their price. Until now!

The TLM 103 exhibits all the quality characteristics of its sister products but with a huge price reduction. The large-diaphragm capsule that characterises Neumann products has an exceptionally high sensitivity. With just 7 dB-A /1.5dB CCIR the self-noise level of the TLM 103 is so reduced that even the smallest signals are reproduced basically noise-free. As it is capable of handling sound pressure levels up to 138dB without distortion, the TLM 103 provides a dynamic range of 131dB, according to DIN/IEC 651. With TLM technology the usual output transformer is replaced by an electronic circuit, which ensures good common-mode rejection and prevents RF interference that may influence the balanced signal. Supplied complete with a swivel microphone mount.
