Solid, stable boom mike stand. Telescopic boom allows adjustment from your seat.Clamp is so good that it not only holds firm in use but it is impossible to change the position of the boom without slackening it. Excellent stand although heavy but they need to be this weight to stay put.

I use this in my band, I needed a stable, solid stand which would not topple over. Very easy to use and no slipping on any adjustable parts. It's exactly what I was looking for.

K & M stands are satisfying to use I have others are at least 20 years old and still earning their keep. A1 and 5 Star. The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten. I recently had to buy an extra stand from another supplier for a job "on the day" It cost £19 and held the microphone in roughly the right place. It was too light, un-stable and just didn't feel right.

This is a nice solid stand. The boom is a good deal shorter than I was expecting (after not reading the specs carefully). Make sure you only want a short boom.

The Studiospares microphone stand is great value at only [$], but this K+M stand is much more subtantial, very stable, with a quality feel. Is it worth more than three times as much as the Studiospares own-brand product? That depends on how much you rely on durable products that keep working, or how much you just like owning professional kit.
