Probably the best known mic clip. The two jaws are sprung to exert a sideways holding pressure. Suitable for mic bodies 13mm - 26mm diameter. The microphone is removed by squeezing the underside of the jaws together. Inserting and moving the mic is a two handed operation. Not ideally suitable for conically shaped bodies but frequently used for such. Jaws hinge through any angle. Thread is 5/8" with a 3/8" thread adaptor included.

Holds my overhead drum mics just right - not too tight, not too loose. More of a confident caress really

I bought this to replace an identical clip which I had owned and used in a variety of situations for several years, until I dropped the stand it was on, the clip hit the floor and was no more! There was almost no thought needed when it came to buying the replacement; if this new one lasts anything like as long as the old one, with quite heavy use holding, typically, an AT Video Mic, I consider it a real bargain.

I have several of these for stage use as they're great for vocalists using handheld mics. Very easy to remove and replace the mic and minimises noise. However the jaw plastic is a bit vulnerable and I have had a couple break or a spring come out. Springs are easy enough to re-fit with a pair of long-nose pliers. As for breakages - well, I just keep a couple of spares - they're hardly expensive.

Good quality mic clip, will fit most microphones except large radio mics. Works well and does the job.
