Two Notes Le Preamp Le Bass

The Perfect Bass Preamp

Bassists are the glue of any rhythm section, bringing groove, power, and control to session or show, and there is no greater feeling than the stage rumbling low end of a bass stack. With the Two notes Le Bass you can now recreate that magic in a portable compact pedal that provides all of the low-end warmth and feeling that your tube amp provides, without the hassle of loading in your trusty 4 x 10.

Le Bass is a pedal-sized dual-channel tube preamp with an analogue cab sim. An excellent pre-amp for every bass player on stage, in the studio and in the home, it comes with a lifetime licence for Torpedo Wall of Sound and 16 DynIR Cabinets.

Dual-channel tube preamp for your pedalboard

Bass is all about power, definition and control, Le Bass is a tube preamp designed to bring those massive tones straight from your pedalboard. It has two independent channels (parallel or 'jumped') and a packed feature set. Your inner tone chaser will recognise le Bass as the perfect pedalboard high voltage tube preamp to push your bass tone to the perfect place within the mix.

12 volts pedal on the outside, 200 volts tube preamp on the inside

Going direct from a pedalboard comes with the drawback of leaving all the tube warmth your amp brings, at home. The preamp section of the amp is critical for fully developing the identity of your tone.

Le Bass features Two Notes' trademark True High Voltage design. At its heart is a JJ ECC 83 S preamp tube, running at 200 volts internally, which has been specifically chosen for this pedal.

The dynamics, headroom, warmth and that legendary response you'd expect from a vintage American bass amp are there, right on your pedalboard. It's the perfect preamp for when you want to go direct. Le Bass can also work perfectly as a tube overdrive in front of, or in the loop of, your favourite amp.

Two unique channels with independent voicing and EQ

Channel A features deep dynamic bass with warm overtones and compression, giving that famous high voltage thump you'd expect from a bass tube amp. Featuring bass and treble controls that are placed before the gain stages, allowing you to fine-tune the tone before it hits the tube.

Channel B outputs a versatile modern overdrive, that can go as far as distortion, ranging from precise attack bite to full-range aggression. The three-band EQ (with sweepable mids) is placed after the gain stages for precise, responsive, tone shaping.

Cold Fusion - Mix and Balance Channels A & B

Hitting both channels at once will let you run channels A and B in parallel. This is the Cold Fusion mode. In this mode, you can balance the clean and distorted signals. Retain all the low-end roundness and musicality with hard-hitting precise attacks.

Hot Fusion - Jumping from Channel A to Channel B

Switch it to Hot Fusion and you jump channel A into B. In this mode, channel A effectively becomes a boost pedal for B. Both channels' EQs cascade gives you a monster of a preamp for when you crave that fuzzy fat bass tone.

With great power comes great flexibility

Analogue Cab Sim - Le Bass has an analogue cabinet simulation to go direct from your pedalboard. The simulation is based on a Fridge (8x10) / Alu (4x10) DynIR with Cnd87 microphone.

Headphones Out - Plug your headphones straight to Le Bass and play your pedalboard silently thanks to the internal analogue cabinet simulation.

MIDI Control - Thanks to Le Bass's powerful MIDI control, you can switch the Preamp channels and Fusion modes remotely or even control your other MIDI pedals from Le Bass footswitches.

FX Loop - Build a preamp-specific pedal chain by using Le Bass's FX Loop. Bypass the pedal to bypass the whole chain. The effects are applied before the analogue cab sim.

It gets even better with the Torpedo C.A.B. M+

Pair Le Bass with the Torpedo C.A.B. M+ to have a portable power amp and DynIR cabinet features on stage. Have total control and sound quality, straight from your pedalboard.
