Chandler Limited LTD-1 Mic Preamp/EQ
The Chandler LTD-1 is a hand-built 1U rack-mounted preamp and EQ inspired by the design of the original Neve 1073 unit. Extending the scope of this venerable design, the Chandler LTD-1 took the sound that turned the records around and brought it into the present day; a tall order perhaps, given the status that the vintage unit particularly enjoys, even to this day.
But Chandler Limited do not allow themselves to be held back. For a preamp that just sounds right, right from the start, you must start with the best. And then improve it. Their reputation for terrific build quality, sourcing original parts, plans and designs where necessary, and the unparalleled sound that it achieves, is also the stuff of legends.
By increasing the range of the LTD-1 EQ section, including a DI, phantom power and phase reversal on the front panel and output control, Chandler Limited added all the functionality that today's users demand. By re-engineering the power supply, the Chandler LTD-1 now has greater headroom, too.
The EQ on the Chandler LTD-1 sounds as sweet as its inspiration, providing smooth mids, warm bass that adds fullness without contributing boominess and mellifluous highs that never become shrill.
