The revised AR-133 is improved by mainly ergonomic ways and by having the phantom power supply already built in. The metal box is curved so cables can now pass underneath and the sides are protected by thick rubber heads. For greater protection the switches and sockets are now mounted either end. One end has the input of an unbalanced Jack paralleled to an XLR input and a three position attenuation switch, 0dB, 20dB and 40dB. The other end has the transformer balanced XLR output, an earth lift switch, power on LED and power on switch. The box can be configured to bypass this switch when phantom powered. The PP3 battery compartment is accessed by unscrewing a knurled screw.
