An internal shock mount assembly holds the transducer which features a large 1' gold sputtered Milar diaphragm as used in the more expensive NT2. Two layers of high grade stainless steel have been used in the Head. The first is a strong open weave and the second is a fine weave providing excellent Pop screening without compromising acoustic transparency. Transformerless FET circuitry generates very low self-noise, whilst the body of the microphone is precision machined and finished in a durable satin nickel coating.
