Its Variable-D dual port technology eliminates the proximity effect where low frequencies rise when used close to the mouth. It features an integral blast and wind filter allowing singers to almost touch the grille screen without causing popping or excessive sibilance. The Acoustalloy diaphragm provides a uniform response between 45Hz and 18kHz. Its massive steel housing and hum-bucking coil ensure resistance to magnetically induced hum and noise while it also performs perfectly in high humidity and temperature conditions: this rugged mic is ideal for tight vocals and challenging instruments, can be used inside bass drums, on acoustic guitars, and is found in most voice booths and broadcast studios.
