STUDIOSPARES ACOUSTICHECK TILES BLUE       From Drama Studios to Recording Studios, they all find Acousticheck  Tiles very appealing.  In situations where low frequency boom and flutter  echoes hardly exist there is little point in paying for unnecessarily  thick tiles. Acousticheck tiles use a cost reduced lower density foam of  26kg/cu metre which is still higher than many competitive types of foam.       With  studio budgets getting tighter, studio acoustics have taken the  back  burner. Other suppliers have addressed the problem by providing a  very  thin lightweight packing foam which is cheap but practically  useless for  sound control. A lightweight foam has almost zero sound  absorption.The  perception is only visual, not acoustic.       We talked a lot to engineers  involved in acoustics who generally  agreed that many studios primarily  required attenuation at the higher  frequencies only. The amount of mid and  low frequency attenuation is  primarily a function of the tile's thickness,  so is cost!       By combining a commitment to large quantities, a  slightly reduced  thickness of 62mm and a less expensive foam we are able  to provide a  technically advanced tile at a modest cost. Acousticheck  tiles in no way  replace Studiospares Acoustitiles or Economy Acoustitiles  because they  are very high performance tiles. Acoustichecks do however  provide a  level of attenuation well above other budget tiles.   Total tile thickness is 62mm with the pyramid height of 35mm on a base of  27 mm. They do not contain the graphite fire retardancy compound.   Acousticheck tiles conform to BS88/37988DC tested in accordance with  British Standard BS 5852 part 2 1982 and have passed ignition source No 5  (wood crib).    Dimensions 500mm x 500mm (20” x 20”).
