The MCE82 provides the means of capturing the highest sound quality from a microphone designed for the rigours of serious reporting. The capsule is elastically mounted to reduce handling and cable borne noises. Wind and rumble are kept to low levels by a switchable bass roll off filter. Response is held to fine limits between 50 Hz - 20 kHz. Powering is by an internal AA battery or by phantom powering 12 - 48 volts. An LED indicates battery condition. Output is via a 5pin XLR.
