The LED display shows which input pin is connected to which output pin. Separate shield and phantom power LED's indicate proper shield connection and phantom power presence. It also offers an installed cable test mode, which requires insertion of only one plug and indicates shorts and opens, as well as a continuity check. As a special feature, a test tone generator operating at 1kHz and 440Hz is included. Requires two AA batteries (Studiospares code 402-520).
