DBX DIGITAL DYNAMICS PROCESSOR  Based on dbx's TYPE IV  Conversion System,  a proprietary process made up of both analogue and digital algorithms. dbx  claim that the resulting signal is superior to anything heard before. The  operating system offers a fully featured complement of compression,  gating, de-essing, limiting and EQ -  either in the side chain or the  audio path. Easy to see parameters are shown numerically on the screen and  on the graphical display on the right side of the screen. By nature,  dynamics processing changes the envelope of the entire sound. dbx were the  first to show this in a graphical way. The menu driven DDP has the ability  to perform in either True RMS Power Summing  stereo or in dual Mono modes.  The DDP offers 24-bit processing, full MIDI capabilities, plus peak and  average levels as well as gain reduction metering at all points in the  process, input, internal and output.
