A highly directional microphone that seriously rejects sounds from the sides and rear. It focuses the sound pickup from the area the camera is covering. The SG300 is more suited to picking up sounds closer to the mic and from a wider angle such as groups or interviews. (The SG350 code 476670 has a narrower angle of pickup for more distant work where the camera is in the zoom mode)

It includes a battery compartment inside the microphone body so is not reliant on external powering.
