TASCAM DP02 As the DP-02CF but with additional features, extras include a built in reverb/multi-effects processor, built in chromatic tuner and a slot type CD-RW burner/CD-ROM drive. Shattering the confusing page-shift-menu interface popular with most other digital recorders, DP-02CF features the one-knob-per-function design that has made Tascam cassette Portastudios the choice of thousands of musicians. The DP-02 has two microphone inputs on 1/4" jacks + XLR for dual mono or stereo recording, phantom power is also included. Up to eight tracks can be recorded at uncompressed CD quality to an internal 40GB hard drive and there is an additional stereo master track for recording a mix. Each channel of the DP-02 has a fader plus dedicated controls for pan, effects send, high EQ and low EQ. For each channel, the user can select the operating frequencies of both the low and high EQs. An LCD display shows meters and helps editing settings and locate points. The DP-O2 has a USB 2.0 jack for file backup, importing and exporting tracks and transferring mixes to a computer. There are analogue RCA line outputs, an SPDIF optical line output, stereo return, headphone out with level control and a MIDI out for MIDI Timecode or MIDI Clock. Track editing functions include cut, copy, paste, move, erase, silence and multiple levels of undo/redo.
