The Shape 40 is Focal’s most compact studio monitor in their professional line and is the perfect solution and choice for nearfield monitoring. This line of monitors can be used from 23" away (60cm) and feature an impressive extended low-end frequency response. The Focal Shape 40 is the ideal monitor to use within rooms of less than 107ft² (10m²) or installations where compactness is key.

The 3 monitors within the Shape 40 are all made in France to the highest standard and integrate five innovations to maximise acoustic transparency. Focal’s Shape monitors combine settings and designs that are optimised for the acoustics of small listening rooms.

The design innovations of the Shape monitors provide remarkable acoustic transparency and distinguish themselves through a wide and incredibly precise stereo image. The Shape 40’s bass register is articulated and controlled, with the lower mid-range and mid-range delivering neutrality without masking effects, and lastly, the new tweeter is the source of the very high definition, providing scalpel-like precision in the high end.
