The designers have focused on making the range compact which reduced weight, particularly useful if cabinets have to be “flown”, and makes transportation easier. The Studiospares Auditorium range represents exceptional value for money.

The range centres around the renowned aluminium alloy framed Theatre series drivers. Bass driver, mid range and tweeter speech coils ditched conventional round copper wire and substitutes the more expensive copper coated aluminium flat wire, wound on high temperature Kapton frames. This technique raises the upper temperature limit and raises the reliability. The tweeters’ diaphragm is fabricated from Titanium for extended reliability and sonic accuracy. Sophisticated circuitry protects the tweeter from being overdriven on positive and negative cycles.

Few manufacturers like to dwell on dispersion angles, we do, it is very wide! The cabinet construction is substantial and constructed from 18mm thick medium density fibreboard. Internal bracing controls cabinet resonances and adds rigidity to the complete assembly. The Black painted finish is in semi gloss and looks stunning. Input is via a Speakon. The drivers are fed from a sophisticated internal crossover but can also be driven independently from an external active crossover (with the exception of the 312B & 315B which can only be used with the internal crossover) .

The Auditorium subwoofers can use either the internal low pass filter or a feed from an external crossover, there is a switch next to the input sockets, set it to passive to use the internal low pass filter or to active for it to be used with an external crossover

The subs require cables with 2 pins wired (terminals 1+ and 1- are used.)
