This new version includes a PB1000 Presence Boost Adaptor which adds a presence boost to frequencies between 5khz and 9kHz to provide a more `brilliant` sound. This gentle boost adds clarity and enables a vocalist to `cut through the mix`. The improvement is also very relevant when miking cymbals and hi-hats. The overall frequency response is from 30Hz-19kHz. The C1000S is designed as a versatile instrument microphone for any recording studio. Better separation for close miked drum kits is obtained by fitting the optional acoustic adaptor over the capsule to make its pick up pattern hypercardioid.
