STUDIOSPARES MONO VALVE MICROPHONE PREAMPLIFIER This new Mono Valve Mic Preamp is the first step in recreating the warmth of the sounds of yesteryear at a fraction of the price of competitive products. Valves have large voltage swings so can easily handle audio voltages without distortion or overloading. Basedon two low noise 6N3 twin triode valves, the first of which raises the signal level to a point where the 100Hz Low, 2.5kHz Mid and 10kHz High equalisers can correct any room or microphone tonal deficiencies. The following valve matches the preamp`s output impedance to a low impedance which will drive any input of any equipment. Maximum output level +28dBm. Gain is adjustable from zero to +55dB. No transformers are used in the signal path so distortion is at a very low level. 48V phantom powering can be switched on or off. This is an interesting product which is well built and really looks great. Input impedance 100kO (3.4kO with phantom power switched on).
