“NS10 copies that sound better than NS10s... I still think these speakers are little blinders and dare I say it... my mixes are actually tighter then they are on NS10s.”

“I've had a pair of SN10's in my home studio for three years now. They're powered by a 30+30 watt Marantz PM4001. They've been moved around, swapped out for a variety of powered monitors and A/B'd against a pair of original NS10's. I kept the SN10s. Why? First, they are sealed construction in a heavy cabinet, with 'paper' type woofer cones and huge magnets, which give a very tightly controlled, accurate bass. Second, they have that clean precise analogue sound I've been used to for the last thirty years and they can handle everything from drum and bass, to chamber music. Powered monitors from the same price bracket sound compressed and grainy in comparison. And third, I can get spares for them for the foreseeable future. I have just replaced my analogue vinyl hifi system speakers with a pair, too, and the only possible gripe is the roll-off below 40Hz, dictated by the cabinet size. A sub-woofer brings it back. Mixes made with them are exceptionally clean and mu sical. These suprisingly heavy little devils are just so good, build quility is high, and the power handling much more than you'll ever need. One of mine fell out of the car door while offloading. The corner was dinked in, but there was no other damage. Perfect for your micro studio, and probably for apartment living or your main hifi speakers. They're clean, precise, sound beautifully controlled and underpriced by £100.00. A delight, unlike the original NS10's, which just set my teeth on edge. The SN10's are much more rounded, easier on the ear, and no less accurate or punchy for near-field monitoring. Unlike powered monitors you can stick an exeptional hifi amp on the front of them for stunning sound quality. I'm just so glad that products like this are still available. Thank you, StudioSpares. ”
